What Counts as Residential Debris

Residential dumpsters are built for household cleanouts, renovations, and yard work — furniture, cabinetry, drywall, flooring, appliances, and general household junk. Tires, electronics, mattresses, paint, and treated lumber are all accepted. Not accepted in any container: hazardous materials and large metal items bigger than a microwave, such as refrigerators, washers, or dryers.

Which Size Fits Your Home Project

Most single-room cleanouts and small renovations fit a 15 Yard Residential Dumpster, while whole-home cleanouts or larger remodels typically need a 20 Yard Residential Dumpster. Small amounts of concrete, tile, or dirt (under about a ton) are fine in either container — for larger loads of those materials, use our Heavy Duty 12 Yard Dumpster instead. There is no weight cap on any container — you are simply billed at $75 per ton (rising to $80 per ton effective October 1, 2026).

Standard residential rentals include one full week, which covers most cleanouts and renovation timelines. If your project runs long, extra days are just $10 per day. Same-day delivery is available in most cases depending on that day's schedule — if same-day is not possible, delivery goes out the next morning. Delivery, placement, and pickup are all included.
